চট্টগ্রাম জেলার অন্তর্গত পটিয়া উপজেলায় ১৯(ক) শোভনদন্ডী ইউনিয়ন ০৩ নং ওয়ার্ড জোয়ারা খানখানাবাদ গ্রাম একটি অনুন্নত নিম্নাঞ্চল হওয়ায় এখানের শিক্ষার তেমন প্রসার ঘটেনি। অবহেলিত জনপদের মানুষকে শিক্ষিত করা না গেলে দেশের উন্নয়ন সম্ভব নয়। কেননা, যে জাতি যত বেশী শিক্ষিত সে জাতি তত বেশী উন্নত। শিক্ষিত জাতি একটি দেশের বড় সম্পদ। কিন্তু দীর্ঘদিন  এই এলাকার জনসংখ্যার একটি বৃহত্তম অংশ  তার সুপ্ত ক্ষমতার পরিপূর্ণভাবে বিকশিত করার এবং জাতীয় উন্নয়নে অধিক কার্যকর অবদান রাখার সুযোগ থেকে বঞ্চিত ছিল। তবে সময়ের বিবর্তনে সমাজ জীবনে এসেছে বিরাট পরিবর্তন। তৎসময়ে সমাজ সচেতন ব্যক্তির  উৎসাহ ও নিরলস প্রচেষ্টায় স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসীর আশা আকাংখার প্রেক্ষিতে ১৯৭৯ সালে বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী, দানবীর, শিক্ষানুরাগী, প্রধান উদ্যোক্তা ও দাতা প্রয়াত লায়ন মনোরঞ্জন বড়ুয়া মহোদয় তাঁর নিজ গ্রামের নাম "জোয়ারা খানখানাবাদ" ও তাঁর স্বর্গীয় পিতা “নূতন চন্দ্র” নামে "জোয়ারা খানখানাবাদ নূতন চন্দ্র উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়" টি প্রতিষ্ঠা করে আমাদেরকে করেছেন চির ঋণী।

♣♣Brief history of the establishment of the school♣♣

As the village of Joara Khankhanabad, Ward No. 3, Shobhandandi Union, 19(Ka) in Patiya Upazila of Chittagong District, is an underdeveloped lowland area, education has not spread much here. The development of the country is not possible if the people of the neglected villages are not educated. Because, the more educated the nation, the more developed it is. An educated nation is a great asset of a country. But for a long time, a large part of the population of this area was deprived of the opportunity to fully develop its latent potential and make a more effective contribution to national development. However, with the evolution of time, great changes have come in social life. At that time, in view of the hopes and aspirations of the local people, with the encouragement and relentless efforts of a socially conscious person, in 1979, the late Lion Manoranjan Barua, a prominent businessman, philanthropist, education enthusiast, major entrepreneur and donor, established the "Joara Khankhanabad Nutan Chandra High School" in the name of his own village "Joara Khankhanabad" and his late father "Nutan Chandra", making us eternally indebted.

♣♣প্রতিষ্ঠানের মূল লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য♣♣

ক) নিরলস জ্ঞান চর্চার মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য মানসম্মত শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করা।

খ) শিক্ষার্থীদের চিন্তায়, চেতনায় এবং কর্মে সৃজনশীলতা, জনকল্যাণ ও মানব সেবাবোধ জাগ্রত করে তোলা।

গ) শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে প্রয়োজনীয় অনুশীলন ও প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে শৃঙ্খলাবোধ, শ্রমেরমর্যাদা, নৈতিক, মানবিক, সামাজিক, আচরণিক ও ধর্মীয় মূল্যেবোধ জাগ্রত করা এবং তাদের মননে-কর্মে ব্যবহারিক জীবনে এসব মূল্যবোধ ও চারিত্রিক গুণাবলি উম্মেষ ঘটানো।

ঘ) শিক্ষার্থীদের জাতীয় জীবনে সকল স্তরে নেতৃত্বদান ও কর্ম সম্পাদন যোগ্যতা সম্পন্ন সুনাগরিক হিসাবে গড়ে তোলা  এবং সর্বোপরি নৈতিক, ধর্মীয় মূল্যবোধ ও উন্নত চরিত্রের জনসেবার মনোভাব সম্পন্ন একজন আদর্শ মানুষ তৈরি করা।

ঙ) প্রত্যেক শিক্ষার্থীকে পরবর্তী উচ্চ শিক্ষার স্তরের জন্য সত্যিকারভাবে উপযুক্ত করে গড়ে তোলা।

এসব লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য সফলভাবে বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে অত্র প্রতিষ্ঠানটিকে দেশ ও সমাজের কাছে একটি অনুকরণীয় মডেল হিসাবে উপস্থাপন করা।

♣♣The main goals and objectives of the institution♣♣

a) To ensure quality education for students through relentless pursuit of knowledge.

b) To awaken creativity, public welfare and human service in the thoughts, consciousness and actions of students.

c) To awaken the sense of discipline, dignity of labor, moral, humane, social, behavioral and religious values among students through necessary practice and training and to instill these values and character qualities in their thoughts and actions in practical life.

d) To develop students as good citizens capable of leading and performing work at all levels of   national life and above all to create an ideal person with moral, religious values and a public service attitude of good character.

e) To develop every student to be truly suitable for the next level of higher education.
